Business Studies is often underestimated as a "common sense" subject, but the exam requirements are rigorous. The primary trap for students is "generic analysis"—writing an answer that is theoretically correct but fails to address the specific scenario in the exam paper.
Examiners penalise responses that do not use the data provided, and many students struggle to bridge the gap between knowing a theory like SWOT analysis and actually using it to solve a complex business problem.
Our tuition focuses on contextual application.
We teach students how to mine the case study for evidence to support their arguments, ensuring that they can justify their recommendations with the specific financial data and market trends provided in the exam.

The core business theories are universal, but the assessment structures differ significantly.
We match students with tutors who are experts in the specific requirements of their specification.
Edexcel: We guide students through the distinct "Four Themes" structure, specifically preparing them for the Paper 3 pre-release material so that they are ready to investigate the specific industry context before the exam day.
AQA: We focus on the unique mix of assessment styles, from the rapid-fire Multiple Choice Questions in Paper 1 to the extensive 25-mark case study essays in Paper 3, ensuring that students can switch specific exam techniques fluidly.
OCR: We target the specific analytical requirements of the "Business Decisions" component, helping students to handle the quantitative data and decision trees required to justify their strategic choices.
WJEC/Eduqas: We specialise in the "Business Analysis and Strategy" components, ensuring that students can link the functional areas of HR, Marketing, and Finance to the broader global business environment.

"The independent school fee increases due to the new VAT rules meant that had to change our daughter's school for her final year. We put some of the savings towards A-Level tuition for her to ensure she gets the attention she needs, and now she's scoring even better than she was at her old school!"
