The IB Classical Languages course focuses on the study of Latin or Classical Greek, giving students direct access to some of the most influential works ever written. Rather than just learning to speak a language, you will learn to decode and appreciate the poetry and prose of the ancient world in its original form.

Paper 1: This exam requires you to translate an unseen passage into English. We help you master the necessary grammar rules and vocabulary lists so you can produce an accurate and fluent translation under exam conditions.
Paper 2: This paper focuses on the set texts you have studied in class. We help you develop the detailed literary analysis needed to answer questions on style, structure, and historical context.
The Research Dossier: This is the internal assessment component where you compile an annotated collection of primary source materials. We help you select a focused topic and curate your sources to demonstrate a deep understanding of ancient life or literature.
The Individual Study (HL only): Higher Level students complete an independent research project on a topic of their choice related to the classical world. Our tutors act as mentors, helping you refine your research question and structure a high level academic argument.
