The IB Design Technology course focuses on the design cycle and the processes used to turn an idea into a functional product. You will study materials, manufacturing, and human factors while considering the environmental impact of sustainable design.

Paper 1: This exam consists of multiple choice questions covering the core syllabus topics. We help you master the broad range of technical knowledge required for this quick-fire paper.
Paper 2: This paper includes short answer and data response questions on the core themes. We teach you how to apply design principles to specific scenarios and evaluate the success of different products.
Paper 3 (HL only): This exam focuses on the additional HL topics, such as user-centred design and sustainable development. We help you develop the depth of knowledge needed for these more complex theoretical questions.
Internal Assessment (IA): Both SL and HL students complete a Design Project. Our tutors act as mentors throughout the design cycle, helping you research, design, make, and evaluate a high quality product for a specific user.
Ongoing Tuition
If you are happy, this will then evolve into regular tuition, overseen by our Director who will create the strategy and provide frequent updates.
