IB Literature and Performance is a unique interdisciplinary subject that combines the critical study of literature with the creative art of theatre. Students explore how literary works can be reimagined through performance, developing both their analytical writing and their practical acting skills.

Performance Transformation: This component requires you to transform a piece of literature into a realized stage performance. We help you choose the right text, develop your staging ideas, and refine your performance to ensure it effectively communicates your chosen themes.
The Individual Oral (IO): The IO involves a formal conversation about your performance and the choices you made during the transformation process. We help you structure your reflections and practice your delivery so you can explain your artistic decisions with confidence.
Paper 1 & Paper 2: The written exams test your ability to analyse how a text can be performed and your understanding of critical literary analysis. We use mock exams and detailed feedback to help you master the specific essay styles required for this interdisciplinary course.
Ongoing Tuition
If you are happy, this will then evolve into regular tuition, overseen by our Director who will create the strategy and provide frequent updates.
