The IB Dance course is a holistic study of movement that combines physical training with historical and cultural analysis. You will explore a variety of dance styles and learn how to communicate complex ideas through the art of choreography.

Since the course is entirely coursework based, our sessions are tailored to help you manage your portfolio throughout the two years. We provide the tools to articulate your creative process clearly, ensuring you are fully prepared for each component of the IB assessment.

Composition and Analysis: You will create your own choreography and write an analytical essay about your creative process. We help you refine your movement ideas and structure your written reflection to demonstrate deep artistic thinking.
World Dance Studies: This component involves a comparative study of two different dance cultures. We help you research these traditions and write an essay that explores their historical and social contexts.
Performance: You will perform a variety of dances to demonstrate your technical range. We help you refine your performance skills and artistic expression to meet the highest assessment standards.
Ongoing Tuition
If you are happy, this will then evolve into regular tuition, overseen by our Director who will create the strategy and provide frequent updates.
