Religious Studies is deceptive because it often looks like an open debate, but it requires strict academic discipline. The jump from GCSE is significant; it is no longer enough to simply explain what Aquinas or Kant believed. The real challenge, and the primary cause of dropped grades, is the shift from "Knowledge" (AO1) to "Evaluation" (AO2).
Students must learn to critique the logical coherence of an argument rather than just listing quotes.
Our tuition focuses on the art of philosophical evaluation.
We teach students how to deconstruct arguments using logic and counter-examples, ensuring that they can assess the validity of a theory rather than just describing its content.

The syllabus content is vast, covering thousands of years of thought, but the exam structure dictates the focus.
We match students with tutors who are experts in the specific requirements of their specification.
OCR: We provide specialised support for the rigorous "Developments in Christian Thought" (DCT) paper, helping students navigate the complex theology of Augustine and Calvin so that they are just as confident here as they are in Philosophy and Ethics.
AQA: We focus on the unique "Dialogues" section in Component 2, teaching students how to create synoptic links between philosophy, ethics, and religion to meet the specific requirements of the synoptic questions.
Edexcel: We guide students through the specific "Anthology" extracts required by the board, ensuring that they understand the primary texts in detail so that they can analyse the specific wording used by the scholars.
WJEC / Eduqas: We target the specific "Themes" structure, focusing on the detailed textual analysis required for the Component 1 paper and the ethical applications in Component 2.

"The independent school fee increases due to the new VAT rules meant that had to change our daughter's school for her final year. We put some of the savings towards A-Level tuition for her to ensure she gets the attention she needs, and now she's scoring even better than she was at her old school!"
