1. In a typical series of sessions, you will first be provided with examples of successful personal statements, both from your chosen subject and more generally, and an optimal structure will be discussed.
2. You will then be asked to discuss what attracts you to your chosen subject, and your experience with it, both in the classroom and extracurricularly - our subject tutors can recommend books and other media for you to look through and mention in your statement.
3. After it has been drafted, your tutor will help you to make improvements on it: modifying analyses of readings to make them more impressive, correcting any inaccuracies, and modifying examples to make you stand out from the pack.
4. Finally, the language and writing quality will be examined and improved, to ensure that it flows well and is enjoyable to read, and there are no spelling or grammar errors. Once this is done, it is ready to submit!
